Did anyone tried Mac-on-Linux http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac-on-Linux (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac-on-Linux) running classic apps speed versus the speed on OSX native "Classic" mode?
Mac-on-Linux is an open source virtual machine program for running Mac OS on PowerPC computers running Linux. It can also be used to run another instance of another PowerPC-based operating system (OS) (supported OSs include Mac OS, Mac OS X, and Linux).
Should it be faster on PowerPC machines than Sheepshaver too?
There is a sweet spot in Panther to run Mac-on-mac http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac-on-Mac (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac-on-Mac) and test it against OSX "Classic" to run OS9 apps.
With this software, Mac OS X 10.0 through 10.3, Mac OS 9, OpenDarwin, and Linux can be run in a separate window on a Macintosh computer running Mac OS X. The software requires X11 and a PPC-based Mac to run.
There is nothing compared to running native, but maybe G5 owners (They can't boot OS9) can have a better "OS9" experience.

I don't really do Linux directly so not there. But I do regularly employ SheepShaver. I did so on the PPC, and now on the Intels. There is one non-music app that I find has no replacement in the modern OSes.

I'm really surprised the Rappers haven't created enough of an audience for a modern rhyming app. Song writers put oh maybe a dozen or so rhymes in a song, but rappers need sometime 100 in a single song. That's some difficult text to create.
The earlier version of the app was probably the best. :P
It's funny these days when I'm working on a song I have Sheep running for the Rhyme action, VMware/MSW for the Miku action, and OS X for everything else. -afro-

FYI The German and Spanish wikipedia pages still exist. There is no French page. I have not looked at other languages.

The English one, it turns out, was deleted because it was "outdated" and its content not "notable".
The different language wikipedias are run by different teams and have different standards. Some are more "inclusionist", the English pages tend to be more "deletionist" due to "Reasons".
I would not suggest trying to to re-add an English version, as it may just get deleted again, which would be frustrating, due to human stupidity.
If you speak multiple languages, or can use google translate, always look at the other language wikipedia pages.
Unfortunately, they will wildly vary in their content and quality, as different people do the upkeep, and there seems to be almost zero interest in keeping them in sync.
Even if you can't read them, you can see the German page is better than the Spanish one for MOL.
I've considered fixing or doing some translation for some Mac and other pages, but probably won't, as I think potentially having to fight editors would not be "fun".

I used to use MoL in 2003 on my Pismo (with daystar G4 upgrade) running gentoo linux. It seemed like MoL was making great progresss and then just disappeared.

If I do, I'll make sure to document.
This will not be in wikipedia...pero, tal vez, en espanol?
