I am still making records on a Powerbook (1GHz G4) from 2002 using Protools Free, which is from about 1998 or 1999 on OS9. I have a Digigram VX Pocket soundcard and an Apogee Mini Me as the front end and it is a great sounding, very stable system

 8) i guess this means the DIGIGRAM vx pocket has a compatible sound manager driver that supports pt free!
