Title: Powerbook Wallstreet HD
Post by: Irisman on October 03, 2014, 11:14:23 AM

Hi,

Do someone knows if the IDE HD for the powerbooks needs "Apple HDD Firmware" or otherwise any IDE HDDunit will work?

Maybe trial-error method for me?

Trial and error worked this time!

I used my 7600 to format the disk, and then install the macos on the ide drive.

I used an usb enclosure for 2.5 ide drives :)   The mac had no problem about installing the Os on it.

Then, pull out the disk, and put into the powerbook. Now I have a 40 gb hard drive!!  ;D
