i have 1 quicksilver with a faulty nonfunction 867mhz cpu..
and 1 sawtooth g4 AGP ..
both these systems are perfect candidates for cpu upgrades.
so im revisiting the topic
wanting to find a way to get into the territory above 1.25ghz
1.5ghz, 1.6ghz, 1.8ghz or 2.0ghz
whats my best option??

You should put this one into the QS, and if you overclock the QS System bus to 150 Mhz, the MDD's throne will be seriously threatened. :)
...I never had a QS, so maybe some day...

My favorite machine is the MDD Single @1.25 overclocked to @1.50 with an nVidia ti 4600 and a SSD.
The SSD can be connected to the ATA 100 (with an adapter) because is easy and cheaper an even in this way it retain his best characteristic, ie access time!.
