Tool Chest
Reference Library.
The System Software Edition also lost its name -- so I just note the picture on the CD.

Hey macStuff,

I have been member of APDA since 1988, which later changed its name in ADG and then ADC up to 2007, and in these years I collected all the documentation they distributed.

I still have almost all CDs and DVDs from 1994 to 2002, so I can help you with the June 1999 ADC’s CDs you are looking for :

https://we.tl/t-fLK70OWDHV

All are .ISO files .ZIP compressed and the ’System Software’ CD is Mac OS 8.6.
Remember that the files will be available only for 7 days !

Have a nice weekend :)

guiber; do u have any of the stuff from the time of Sep 2006?
ive been working on this ADC Mirror site:
http://adcmirror.oldschooldaw.com/
my idea is to extend alot fo the content to add back the stuff that was *removed by apple*
and make it one of the most functionally operational apple developer mirror from 2004-2006 time period

for example; on the page now there is a link that says mac os 8 + 9; that link didnt exist before;) i added it
lol

Sorry macStuff, all the ADC collection from 2002 to 2007, after I tried to sell it on eBay with no luck, has been given as a gift to this Apple museum here in Italy : https://www.mmn.it/museum-un-nuovo-spazio-espositivo-per-rivivere-la-storia-del-personal-computing/  (sorry, it’s available only in italian language).

I have only kept the pics I used to sell them on eBay :(

If you need help, only 1994-2001 discs are still in my hands.

nice collection!

i will be getting alot of them soon from a friend; just got to wait till he can upload them;
hopefully he will getting alot of them to KNEZ to make available
(If knez is available.. lol)

I understand the ADC cds used to rotate between 4 different formats::
-System Software edition
-Reference library edition
-Mac OS SDK Edition
-Tool Chest Edition

updating the "collective collection" each time with new versions
so really if u divide the twelve months of the year by 4; thats 3 different sets of cds per year
depending on what your looking for; you need to go after the right "edition"

msg for guiber:
http://macintoshgarden.org/forum/osx-kernel-debug-kits
hey check this page here
if u can help me track down any of those kernel debug kits from the ADC developer cds if you haev any of the ones im missing would be a big help
thanks

also check my adc mirror ive been making here
http://adcmirror.oldschooldaw.com/
http://adcmirror.oldschooldaw.com/ftp.apple.com/developer/
http://adcmirror.oldschooldaw.com/ftp.apple.com/developer/Development_Kits/

basicalyl apple has removed all PPC stuff from the apple developer site entirely
not sure when this happened im sure in the last 4 years sometime tho

the most important ones im after obviouisly are 10.3.9 (ppc) / 10.4.11 (ppc) / 10.5.8 (ppc)
i only have the 10.4.11 for intel at the moment

this kind of thing really bothers me; because as a web developer/designer you arent supposed to BREAK LINKS
and REMOVE CONTENT the whole point of making new websites + adding information is not to obfuscate + delete the previous existing links
that other people may still depend on; it used to be that companeis would pay designers/developers like myself extra to go out of our way to find ways of avoiding breaking old existing content; but nowdays companies just delete old websites at a whim; and dont think of the impact.. i hate it; i hate the way youtube removes users accounts for copyright aswell; its so abusive + disrespectful to their own users; the internet in general; if you told me in 2004 that it would end up this way i wouldnt have believed it; everyone was so all about independance + anti-corporate control; everyone used to quite the book "no-logo" naomi klein https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Logo its disgusting where we are at; everyone has their heads so far up their own asses they only care about their own money making agendas;  anyway; lets try to get these files back in public domain; for people who wish to still do their own development on ppc versions of OSX; even if it is only for hobby purposes;

A lot of discs are on the Macintosh Garden website. For your convenience, they do have public FTP access. In addition, many of these discs are on the internet archive. In fact, I urge you and anyone else to upload any and all discs that you consider abandonware to the internet archive even before uploading to the Macintosh Garden. The reason behind this position relates to the overwhelming number of people who are financially supporting the internet archive, the Macintosh Garden on the other hand is financially backed by a single individual as far as I know.

It’s really sad that Apple does not care and their hate of PPC is uncanny. It will bite them very soon as Mac is moved to ARM, though I suspect they will do the same thing to Intel. It’s also Phil Schiller’s fault why all these CD developer archives were deleted.
