Title: iBook G4 System CD
Post by: Koderkev on August 27, 2018, 03:09:01 PM
Hi folks! Just joined after buying an iBook G4 (933mhz) on eBay. The laptop is in great shape but did not include install disks. The seller loaded X 10.4.11 on it and left it at that. So I don't have any of the original OS X apps and didn't have Classic until I found the "Additional Software & Apple Hardware Test" CD over at the Internet Archive http://archive.org (http://archive.org). Despite bearing a 2004 date, the CD allowed me to install 9.2.2 on my 2003 G4. Of course, I can't boot into 9, but at least I can run Classic.

In case anyone else needs it, here is the URL for the CD https://archive.org/details/AppleMacOSX10.3.5iBookG42004 (https://archive.org/details/AppleMacOSX10.3.5iBookG42004). Please note that the title says "OS X 10.3.5" but the disk actually has OS 9, not X. Just thought someone else could benefit from it!

Does anyone know how many CD's came with the G4 iBook and where I might find the others?
