Don't forget the calssic Digidesign cards MIX Core, MIX Farm and DSP Farm. Good stuff, but they only work with the TDM version of Pro Tools.
-
is 6.4.1 the highest level pro tools tdm version?
note: TDM stands for Time Division Multiplexing

This is the last supported software release for Pro Tools|24 MIX hardware.
same predicament as the digi 001, panther 10.3.x is the highest you can go with that hardware.
but this is macos9lives;) so we dont care lol ;D
but these powercore + uad-1 cards can be used in systems as high as 10.5.8 im pretty sure
i dont think there would be an intel/pci driver available for snowleopard or intel machiens (hackintoshes etc obv not mac pros)

Future development of the PowerCore platform has ceased
As part of a larger strategic review in early 2011, we decided to cease further development of the PowerCore product range, including hardware units as well as software for the PowerCore platform.
With the most recent software release, PowerCore is compatible with the following operating systems:
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
Windows XP
Windows Vista
Windows 7
The PowerCore drivers support 64-bit operating systems, but note that all plug-ins are 32-bit.
interesting.. and i think this applies to the pci cards not just the compact

eBay watchers... It is important to note that the PCI Powercore Card came in 2 flavors...
"The Element" and the "Original" the original... The original had more included plugins including the infamous Master X3 (for mastering)
So.. always try to buy an Original NOT an Element Version Card

Hi, maybe noob question:
Do the Powercore PCI MKII works fine on macos9? One at sight for 60 euros....
Can I compatibilize its use with preexistent Powercore PCI original card?
Thanks!
