It's me again.
I'm looking for OMS patches for Roland JV-1010.
I downloaded one but sit file was empty.
Where could i find it ?

But all this link are dead or in a language i don't understand.
I only have Cubase 4.1 (Cuvase 5 needs OS 9)
I think i'm going to modify the JV-1080 included in OMS when i have time.

no.. someone here will haev these files. i know the opcode studio vision users on the opcode mailing list will have these files 100%
and they are probably able to be downloaded from a site

If you want your patch names to show up in Pro Tools, you will need to use the OMS Names application which is included on your Pro Tools 5.0 Installer CD inside of the Beta/Bug Fix Software folder. It is also available in the downloads section of Digidesign.com. Launch OMS Names. The column on the left will display all of the current devices in your OMS Setup file. Click once to highlight a device and choose “Subscribe”from the Names pull-down menu. Navigate to the Factory Names folder inside your OMS folder (Mac Hard Drive>System Folder>OMS Folder) and locate the profile from list and click Open. Once you have configured the list, click OK. Next time you launch Pro Tools, your patch names (and associated banks) will be available. Please remember that if you make any further changes in your OMS Setup, your patch name subscriptions will be lost and will need to be resubscribed. If a file for your device does not exist, you can create your own patch list using OMS names by selecting the device and choosing New Patch Document from the Names pull-down menu.

Patch Names
OMS contains a Database with the names of the Patches (Presets, Programs,
Voices) in your devices. This allows you to select Patches by name, directly from
the Inspector in Cubase.
For optimal use of this facility you will need an OMS 2.0 compatible librarian pro-
gram, that can automatically extract the names from the MIDI devices and “inject”
them into the OMS

Here are the Names from my 880. I believe (though I'm not 100% certain) they are all original. If not, no more than a very few are different and you can easily edit them if a descrepancy turns up. You can paste them in using Vision (procedure is in the Vision MIDI manual pg 315 forward or the OMS Names doc).
The better way - how I got them - is to copy the banks out into a bundle using Galaxy, and then subscribing to them in Vision. Then, they'll be saved in OMS when they're "Made Current".

And don't ask me how to do it using Soundiver because I don't know - not yet, anyway.

pretty sure the patch names are in teh digidesign file that i linked above.. Ehma.. but u have fun writing it all out again for no reason;)

I visited http://dhoop.de/ as you mention and i'm really astonished to see as many resources for Cubase such asmixermap and patchlist. Many are compatibles with old vst Cubase (So very interesting with Cubase on OS9).
It would be useful to pin a topic about it in Cubase thread.

the 1010 wasnt released until 1999... and opcode had just been killed off in late 1998
someone had to have made a jv-1010 patch name list

I had no luck trying to decompress the .sit file for the roland xv-5050 oms patch names
Do anyone has the file in his archives?

OK... I made a quick text file for you (hopefully you can copy and paste); it has the first 10 banks, that's all I ever programmed for my xv-5050
