Title: GeForce Ti4 4600 Installed, anything else?
Post by: Smack2k on March 16, 2018, 05:17:18 PM
I have the GeForce 4 Ti4600 installed in my Sawtooth....running OS 9.22.

Is there a way I can check and see if the card is running right and the way it should?
Is there anything else I need to install?  I found the NVIDIA 3.0 Drivers for Mac but the install said it wasnt supported.
Anything I can test the card with to see how performance is?

The drivers that come with 9.2.2 are about a month or so later in date than the ones from the update, so I'd say they are newer drivers.

As long as everything is working I wouldn't worry about it, try and fire up a 3D game and play for a while, if you don't have system freezes or artifacts, I'd say you're good.

As far as 2d, some older bench marks like Mac Bench 5 would tell you how that's working. You'd have to run it with and without the nVidia drivers enabled.

Thanks a ton....

How do I go about enabling / disabling the NVIDIA Drivers?  Just getting my feet wet with use of Mac OS 9

Apple menu -> Control Panels -> Extensions Manager

Reboot after changes.
