Title: CatFinder 2.5.1 Files
Post by: pmj on February 19, 2021, 11:31:58 AM
Does anyone know how to open and view files generated by CatFinder in other text editors?  I've tried a few but none seem to open the text very cleanly.

I like using CatFinder under OS 9.2.2 to keep a track of large folders of files but it'd be useful to also read the logged files on a more modern Mac.

Never mind... Found the “Report” option in the menu for running out text file versions of the logs  :)

There's a strange interface choice in the program.
The "File Report" feature is only available after you create a new catalog.
Thus open a small disk image and make a new catalog.
Then you can select a catalog and choose "File Report" from the "Catalog" menu.
Then you can export to text or tab delimited.
