Mastering Tools is a Mac app built with REALbasic, needs MacOS 8 to run (and doesn't always run on OS 9), reads uncompressed AIFF files (mono, stereo, 16, 24 or 32 bit) and produces 16 bit stereo AIFF files ready for CD.
All internal processing is at IEEE 64-bit floating point.
This is an in-house app now: it's being made available under the GPL and so that the wordlength reduction can be evaluated.
