i havent read your post but i assume this is a question.

the answer, unfortunatly, is:

1. buy a 540 mb hard disk
2. put it in akai sampler and format it
3. save any programs and samples you like
4. now you can make an 1:1 copy of the harddisk using a PC or mac.

it should work with toast 5 in classic, and for sure also with the "make master" copy method of 10.4´s disk utility. but it is easier on windows.
