Does this old thing hiding in my rack work on OS9?
It's the original version...
something was up with requiring buying factory ROM
upgrade for using with Windows XP+
at my best recollection
went round and round with it before putting it in "moth ball" status
should have the original install CD around here somewhere
saw it "recently"
figuring can potentially use it on g3 slot Imac
-
the original was not usb

alrighty looking for original cd disk...
saw it in some spool here
also has RS422
-
found the original Motu disk that came with it...
will see if can make heads or tails out of it today
need pulling external CD drive from Ensoniq sampler
Slot loader DVD is eating disks now on Imac G3
hmmm
guess that needs getting taken apart/diagnosed/rebuilt
on the list

That Motu disk is the Motu OS9 installer with freemidi & clockworks for USB midi express XT...
-
did you find the CD instal disk for MOTU Express XT for Mac OS9 ?
I need help if you did!
-
yes works great
synced to PT5 it will slay most modern usb midi devices for bandwidth and speed
*beware of multiple clock (MTC) sources clogging the lanes with traffic it will not filter MTC in OS9
-
BTW
my rig Runs ! Five ! MTP AV USB at once.
aka these devices are stackable and additive and modular
-
good info, tuned; so these can do >4, too, like the old orange opcode interfaces did.
did you try its OSX driver yet with >4?
