Bomb Factory fails

Z-Room saying you haven't memory for this class of Plug

And this can be fixed increasing the memory assigned for Protools Free and DAE

Digidesign plugs from 5.1.1 work on FREE, at least EQ II and Limiter

And this is the list that appears on ProTools Free.

Bomb Factory doesn't work.

Amplitube works, McDSP works, GRM works, Orange Vocoder works: No need to install Vocoder or install GRM: Just Drag'n'Drop.

Just to lazy to take pictures.

For now I will let it here for other users to check out. Only Bomb Factory out from my last consolidated  001 Folder

TO DO: Search for alternative Bomb Factory if possible.
Check if overwritten plugs are needed.
           Try alternative DAE files

Notice the importance of original FREE plugs being replaced TOTALLY :

DirectConnect, Dither, Dynamics II, EQ II, Invert/Duplicate, Mod Delay, Normalize/Gain Change, Reverse/DC Removal and Time Comp-Exp/Pitch Shift are updated using my 001 Folder to 5.1.1 algorithm !!!! That means 1 year of optimizations added!

If in deep test it proves unstable, then should be replaced by originals, but if Protools doesn't fail I see no reason why original plugs should be kept .

I have no more interest in reinventing the wheel. Please continue the search if you haven't Digidesign hardware. I am going to keep studying more PT (hardware) versions.

thanks for the great work, I really use protools free a lot to do minimal techno, idm... I like everything that it already brings, but with this information now this protools free becomes a kind of sound designer 5... hehehe .  -afro-

To me one of the tools that I like the most in Pro Tools is Strip Silence.

is a tool that removes silences by locating them perfectly, this is used to make a 3 minute kick drum track into separate clips ready to manipulate, also to extract songs from an A or B drop from an LP, samples from a CD track or cassette tape after recording it to audio. is a tool that removes silences by locating them perfectly, this is used to make a 3 minute kick drum track into separate clips ready to manipulate, also to extract songs from an A or B drop from an LP, samples from a CD track or cassette tape after recording it to audio.

also for complete recordings of acapellas where silences are very common.

I think Pro Tools Free doesn't have this right?

I don't normally use this plug but it seems like there are many uses for it... I'll start playing around with it. Thanks for the recommendation daddyjeff! ;D

Yes, it really seems insignificant, but when it comes to editing things it is very versatile.

It also allows you to rename clips so you don't get lost in the file list.

It is not a RTAS / Audiosuite plugin, it is more of an internal processor module. It is included in the Pro Tools menu, it is also accessed by pressing the command+U key in Pro Tools 5 Le, i don't know if PT 3 free had that.  :-\

I think is more of a legacy tool from the age when you had less than 20 GB of Hard drives to have space for more than 2 projects on the machine.

Surely taking it to the extreme is a good chopper for loops, making it easy to take the slices (hits/notes) you want from loops, but the "tab to transient" seems more suited for this

The article is from 2005. Will check if it is a TDM/LE only function or a Protools 6 addon

Yes, of course, I didn't find any of protools 3 (which belongs to the free version without hardware) nor any article for Pro Tools 5 Le. Total I have the same thing in my version 5 for digi001.

That's why I'm here as a Pro Tools 5 Le user where I use strip silence, and I'm asking if the PT3 free version has this tool.

that's it, although nobody seems to have PT free installed, to verify it, because many users who are not arrangers overlook this super simple and versatile tool that makes it a very important lack for Pro Tools free when editing regions or audio clips on tracks.  -afro-
