Hi all, complete minty fresh newbie here.
I just acquired a single processor 1.25Ghz MDD.
From what I understand, this model was basically re-released for audio professionals running expanded DAW systems with an expansion chassis (dual processor had to be disabled in that setup in OS9)

Hey Pro Tools Mix user! Have fun putting your 'new' system together! Lots of resources around here. I have a few of those single 1.25MDD units and they're usually a bit quieter than the duals. Sounds like you're planning a system with a expansion chassis? :D

Yes, the Uni 1.25ghz was specifically re-released for just that application.
Dual processors on OS9 had to disabled while running an expansion chassis.
I have a 13 slot chassis loaded to the hilt with a Mix Core, Farms and DSP II farms.

Nuh-uhh. Need to chalk the “Lazurus Mac” up to zee Graphics Goons.
Still, it does lend itself extremely well to DAW tasking. / Or so I have heard. ::)

make the transition to Mac OS X. Their excuse, QuarkXPress.” -Thomas Brand / 2016
