If you can get Cubase SX1 and SX2 working alright on a PPC Mac - EVEN WITH A USB KEY - I take my hat off to you - they are as buggy as hell on OSX. I got rid of mine way back then - 2004/5??? I only got it as an upgrade to Cubase VST/32 because it was dirt cheap for me at the time.

I have it.
I seldom use it, just for some mastering stuff with Waves plugin.
Can't tell if it is buggy or not 'cos I didn't stress it out enough as a multitrack.

someone sold you a license but doesnt have the disks? that´s suspicious :)

They gave me the key, and the person lost the installation disc. I do not see anything suspicious because without the USB key, this installation disk is useless.

Greetings to friends! It turned out that my USB key is licensed not for SX, but for SL. Can anyone help me with this disk? You need Cubase SL 1.03 or 1.04, maybe there is also 1.06. In advance I thank all who can help.

(My setting: G4 MDD 1,25, SATA2Card,SSD, DSP FActory; EMI2/6, Midisport4x4, LOGIC5/6/7 and G5quad)
got a sx3 usb-elicence key. But seller lost dvd. Cannot find any sx dvd. Asking Steinberg (Key already registered), but they didn´t answer.
Could someone help me to find a SX DVD?

Cubase SX1 is not compatible with the classic Mac OS 8/9.
its only compatible with OSX and was the first complete re-write of Cubase to port to OSX..
most people i know would NOT RECCOMMEND you use this version, a more stable reliable platform if absolutely neccessary at least go for SX3.
the best thing to do if you actually own the license for that version would be to call Steinberg and ask about upgrading to another compatible version for whatever platform you are using! steinberg can be negotiated with via email re: upgrade pricing from existing licenses

If you need an SX3 ISO, Steinberg FTP has a complete installer. The purpose is to allow Cubase 4 and up users to be able to open VST32 project, but the software probably is full functional. Can be found on:

unlimited is a lot. 8)

only the flagship pro license does unlimited audio tracks
but cubase SE / Essentials versions will do unlimited midi tracks
they got smart and removed the unlimited feature for the new line of "elements" product versions
