Hi,
I've just gotten my hands on a pretty nice 6400, but it is extremely noisy. After disassembling the machine I find that it has only one fan; the PSU fan. On my machine this fan is a:
Nider
Beta SL
Model: D09T-12PG
From what I understand the fan has these specifications:
Fan Size: 92mm x 92mm x 25 mm
Voltage: 12V / 12V
Current: 0.4A / 0.29A
Power: 4.8W / 3.48W
Speed: 3500 / 3100 RPM
Air Flow: 58 / 48CFM
Noise: 35 / 34 dBA
When I usually replace PSU fans I go for some Noctua that fits. I've not really been paying attention to these specs very much, but I noticed that this fan has it's amp limit written on the front of the fan itself: 0.29 Amp. And it appears that it's low amp rating is 0.4 Amps. Some of the Noctua fans that I use have an Amp rating of 0.1A so I think it's about time I start paying attention to these specs. I should probably get a replacement fan that has about the same RPM and airflow rating as well.
Does anyone here have any thoughts or observations, or suggestions as to which fan I might go for?
