Title: Ever seen DAE error -6042?
Post by: SonikArchitects on June 10, 2016, 06:17:56 PM
Hey guys,

I'm on a maxed out G4 dual mirror door w/magma chassis (fully loaded). Been getting an error -6042 lately. Anybody know about this one?

Best!

Are you syncing to a movie ?

Maybe a PCI bus overload;  data may be exceeding what the system can move (read/write) to disk/memory at the same time.

Lastly, make sure you are on the latest rev.

looks like that is exactly correct, it says windows computer in this documentation but its most likely the same code that was used on the old mac aswell

what other cards are installed in the system ?
its possible in your current config that one or more cards are responsible for limiting the bandwidth

That error is about toó much latency to get to the tracks. Maybe  more than 32 tracks from the same drive or a busy bus due to more PCI cards than recommended.

I only have that on sessions with lots of edits or more than 30 tracks. And it only appears rarely. Did you take out multiprocessor extensión?
