« on: April 04, 2024, 08:56:23 AM »
Hello!
I am new on the ship and today install on my Powerbook G4 - Mac OS 9.22.
And all was great, but PC hasn't internet.
Trying connect Ethernet cable from another PC and nothing.
Read on this forum so has a great solution is using Asus WL-330N (and i find it for buying).
But i don't know, how use it. Please, give a short instruction for using it device with my Powerbook G4 through Ethernet port.
I want to know - how it set for PPC, how set Wi-Fi and etc.

Thanks for all answers!

Hello and welcome twrdwsk!

Connecting an ethernet cable from another PC (did you activate sharing the connection on it?) should actually work. On your Powerbook in OS 9: If you go to "Control Panels" -> TCP/IP, is it set on "Ethernet"?

I have no experience with the Asus WL-330N. I have a similiar device though. Usually you connect it to a modern device for the first then. Then you connect to it from yoru browser. Info on the address should come with your device.

After you've entered your WLAN connection details and have it connect, you just walk over to the PowerBook and plug it into the ethernet port. This should give you WLAN capabilites. I'm using one of these little boxes with my PowerBook G3 Pismo and it works perfectly fine!

Good luck and please report back here if you've been successful!
