Hi,
I had a look at the Powercore site, and there are no installers available for download prior to v. 1.6
I did not investigate too much deep, but I think that the 1.6 installer does NOT work for Macos9, the version needed is up to 1.5.
Getting the installer version 1.5 seems to be not an easy task to me ¿any help?
TIA,
Irisman

I think that TC Electronics Nuked the entire Powercore Content on their site...
Their site is a fucking mess and many links are broken :(
Back in 2011 we ceased further development of the PowerCore platform.
Although we have been doing no official development with regard to the PowerCore software itself, for almost 7 years we have however been maintaining the PowerCore account system, and provided customer support for PowerCore users.
As we are reorganizing our server infrastructure as well as human resources, we have come to the conclusion that we cannot continue our current support of the PowerCore infrastructure.
Therefore, on December 31st 2017, we will discontinue:
• The PowerCore account system
• Customer support for PowerCore

TC wasn't too bright about their own stuff already, but the aquisition by Behringer in 2015 was the final nail into the coffin top.
Yet most of their classic stuff exists as a TDM version (running in PT 5.1) which can be safely considered identical (same DSP chips).
The tube amp stuff and LA2A is covered by Bombfactory TDM versions.
SH101 synth emulation is a piece of crap, the worst filter ever released on a Motorola DSP.

i would have paid for a mercury, but they thought it is better to let people use that native-only and invest 40% of their CPU for it.
very happy with the factory vocal compressor and the waldorf vocoder here though.
24/7 is also great, yet mainly only because there is no other for native VST)

thanks astroman for your insightfull comments once again! 8)

waldorf vocoder here though.
just curious, do you by chance happen to have your installer handy? I know they are personalized to the card, but I cannot for the life of me find mine in my backups and I have no idea what the naming convention on the installer file was. I know I have it somewhere but I have no idea what to search for. It appears "waldorf" and "d-coder" are not part of the filename.
-
i own a legal copy.
but the good news for you is that the waldorf is NOT bound to the card. a serial from one of the usual serial number sources is all you need.
we shall put up an original installer here then.

the guys on the powercore forum kept swearing up and down that the installers were bound to the card, so I was under the impression I was out of luck unless I could find my old installer copy on backups somewhere. so if you could post that I would be most grateful.
-
this could well apply, as it's a non-standard plugin, but can be defeated by a num-generator (depending on the check algorithm) ;)
-
it is the only one which does this. the other 5 third party plug-ins are all bouind to the hw.
i thought we have it up already but i cant find it on the forums. we will fix that. :)

Some plugins are "bound to the card" like Master X3 and others, Our install, PowerCore Version 1.6.1 contains plugins that will work on all cards, and the download folder also contains the World-class 247C Compressor and ClassicVerb Reverb Plugin Installs that also work on all cards.
Our Powercore downloads:

These work on all serial numbers and are NOT bound to specific cards:
