Title: Help with Startup / Shutdown Items
Post by: Bo_Star on July 10, 2019, 03:11:08 PM
20 Years back I had a Startup Movie  and a Shutdown Sound file  that would Play automaticly. When I turned on My iMac when the desktop Would come up The Movie would Play and Disappear, My Launcher would appear. Then When I shut down the iMac A sound file would Play.  But Now I forgot How I did That =/  I used adacity on My MBA and made a AIFF file  But when I put on My mac mini OS9 Startup Item Folder it comes out a quicktime player and I have to click play. =/  Im Lost on this one. Maybe it has to do with quicktime Pro?  IDK I forgot =/

I think saving in the correct file format is key.
You need something like 'System 7 sound file' or 'self-playing AIFF'.
