We are not alone in the world!
http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php?action=mlist

Wow!

But:
55% of overall post are from just one user/admin -all know whom is :) - and other 25% are from 4 users/admins, 71% of overall post are from administrators...
I miss more variety of contributors... or better we make a private club :)

... and less X...  :)
Please don't PM about things that are not private.

Well, let's say the most of the questions are  covered by Chris and most sound answers come from you, Diehard, Mat, devil-advisor, Sintho and Graveyard http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php?action=mlist;sort=posts;start=0;desc
I would not mind enter in a private club with users as wise as you,  Diehard, Graveyard, Mat...

We need that wise users (Os9 or X) of powermacs as http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php?action=profile;u=5 eyoungren, Essexboy,  come here to talk even if they use OS9 eventually, because the experience of old school user is a way to follow if we want to keep using our macs at an acceptable level for 2014!
Saying less X sound Puritan! Let's say less X on our macs

One goal that Chris and I have Skyped about in length is to provide ALL the Resources, software, and Knowledge for Musicians and Producers who have received a "Throw away" mac and do not know what to do with it... These macs are far from garbage and many find their way to the recycler.

Many newbies do not realized that the download boards contains thousands of dollars of professional non-linear Audio Editing and mixing tools that can produce pro-level projects.  I am NOT saying it will be easy, but all the tools are here... there is always a learning curve and if you are hungry enough and willing to put in the time, then you will feast on your accomplishments.

On an optimized G4 933 and up... 48+ tracks of Audio & MIDI are possible with many plugins under Mac OS 9... all this on a computer that is considered to be a boat anchor by many non-believers.

So 203 members.... whether you are veterans (we need your experiences) or newbies (don't give up)... rejoice in this safe haven of free tools, knowledge, and social stimuli :)

Even a iMac 233 with rebirth or protools free makes sense too. Let's not forget all those MasterWorks made on 4 tracks by the fab four. Even protools 3.4 is a big tool!

Most are probably going to use the forum for advice and downloading the files. But I hope people will start digging deep and upload what they find and share with us. I only found the forum a couple weeks ago via google search when searching for info on old Logic versions and I've already gotten a lot out of it.

With an audiomedia III and no protools 5 you can "record" in 16 bit  :( in protools 3.4 with the dsp non optimized (but has more tracks than 24 bits(?) protools 5 free !

There are CEE members here! MacTron and myself are European!

For me ANY world exchange worth pay shipping if it works! Bought an Dual Ghz Cpu with the heatsink to Spain from U.K. was 100 euros 3 years ago. Shippin parts inside Europe is cheaper than thru Atlantic.

Yeah it seems like a flood of new members over then past months! ;D  Good idea to have people say hi or post something to get at the member downloads too... seems to promote more interaction! Soon DieHard will have to change the name from 'OS9Lives' to 'OS9Rules'!! Haha ;D ;D ;D
