Title: DAE Virtual Instruments in Logic 6.4
Post by: Blzproductions on May 23, 2019, 08:42:55 AM
Hi

Have hit a bit of a snag with my setup. I'm running Logic as the front end for a PT MIX system, and can't get MIDI to my DAE virtual instruments.
I can get MIDI to my EPIC plugins, but not having any joy with DAE.
I reckon I'm just missing something fundamental.

I have instruments set up on DAE Aux slots, and have OMS which is seeing my MTP, Sample Cell etc.

How do I route incoming MIDI to the Aux tracks?

When you mean DAE what are you referring to? Virus TDM or EXS-24 or something else?
You can create a Cable connection in the Environment window for custom Midi routing
but it would be good if you explain what you are trying to do.

I'm trying to use an instance of Virus TDM.
I've have it set up on a DAE aux channel, but it's not getting MIDI.

If I put EXS24 TDM there ir works

All sorted.

Had to create MIDI instruments in the MIDI environment, and then assign the relevant plugin to them in the OMS port assignment.

Yup that's how it's done, Its a bummer but you need to install & use OMS if you want to send midi to Virus or Virus Indigo. :-[
