A few years ago a programmer calling himselve Tron, created a new Mac OS 9 text editor based on WASTE 2.1. I think it was at 68kmla where he did the main work. The interresting part is that it can handle UTF 8 and UTF 16 and is changing the line ends automatically, plus a few more things, known from office suites like RTF, images and more.
Sadly the download at a hosting service is long gone and FreeStyle seems to be nowhere available. Thus I am uploading it here for everybody.
