I've spotted this card in a second hand webpage... A lowendmac article says it's compatible with Mac OS 9 (http://lowendmac.com/2009/wifi-pc-cards-for-powerbooks-running-mac-os-9/) but the driver is not available at Cisco's webpage. I only see end of support notices and some Windows software...
If anyone keeps a copy of this card it will be greatly appreciated.

I've got the driver disc and can upload when I'm home. It's frustrating how they get rid of everything over 2-5 years old, I've been trying to find the driver for OSX since my PB doesn't recognize the airport card.

I’ve a Cisco (disco) disk from that era (came to me in a Mac mini) and
I should get downstairs this week sometime to possibly locate it.
But if someone else finds theirs first, do please advise. ;)

Received the card today, installed the drivers but the card is not recognised. I see there are three new extensions:
pcm340
pcm340Enabler
pcm350Enabler
Also the installed app is called pcm340PPC. Maybe these drivers are suited for the aironet 340 and not the 350?
I will try this card in a TiBook but that laptop is now at home (broken screen, only usable with VGA output). This one runs native OS9 so maybe that's the problem, trying to use this on a unsupported AluBook...

Willywonka I'll check whether my card is a 350 when I'm home (I'm pretty sure it is). Won't be back until another week.

Found out the PC card slot is not working under OS 9.
However I found drivers that do work under Mac OS X

Looks like the utility supports the Aironet 340/350 series.

i know it's been a few years since this thread was last updated - but just wanted to say thank you as I've been spending hours searching for a PCMCIA card that would work on my G3 Wallstreet - and now have the combination of drivers and hardware that will hopefully work.
Am so glad communities like this exist. Thank you all hugely.

so... my Aironet card arrived (AIR-PCM352) and i installed the drivers in OS 9.2.2 from the Toast file that's in this thread, but 2 strange behaviours:
1) the cursor became stuttery with the PCMCIA card installed (was fine again as soon as it was ejected)
2) in the Cisco driver - when Computer to Access Point mode was selected the radio frequencies were greyed out, but when Computer to Computer mode was selected, only frequencies in the 5Ghz band were available.
What doesn't make sense is that this card is a 11b card, surely (i.e. 2.4Ghz) not a 11a card? I'm very confused... has anyone else managed to get this card to work (in OSX or OS9)?

That's strange regarding the cursor, I'm not sure what would be causing that.
I highly doubt the Aironet will be able to connect to a 5Ghz network. I used it all the time in my Pismo a few years back but had to create a 2.4Ghz network with WEP encryption (most advanced that OS9 supports). It worked well and I didn't have any issues with the cursor.
Try create a network with either WEP encryption or no encryption and see if it will find/connect to it.

Did anyone ever get this working under MacOS 9? I have a PowerBook 1400 running 9.1 and the drivers linked above. They appear to have been installed properly and I know the PC Card slots work (I've used a Sonic ConnectCard 10BaseT card and PCMCIA CompactFlash adapters as removable flash storage / boot drives). And the Mac sees the card (it shows on the desktop properly named), but on boot complains that software for it is not installed...
Alternately, does anyone know of a PCMCIA WiFi card that will work with the 1400? (Anything that needs the IOxpert driver won't work, it needs PC Card Manager 3.0 which limits it to the 2400 and 3400 and newer.)
