Open Internet Explorer
 
Go Edit, select Preferences

Scroll down to Network and in Proxies you fill it with

You need flashplayer and it seems to only work with Microsoft Internet Explorer

That's because Microsoft EOL'ed IE before Flash started getting used as a backdoor into everybody's computers. Everybody still maintaining browsers banned it and locked it out with updates.

I wonder if, since nobody uses Flash anymore if the hacker community has all moved on and it's "safe" again more or less?

i´ve always thought that flash should have been added (in the sense of not locked out from) to wamcom (and later clasilla) browser.

an opt-in function where you have to allow the use of a plug-in on a per-media basis is enough for safety.

otoh flash is so slow for video that you can hardly use it under OS9...
