Title: Motu PCI-324 with 2408 mk2 not shown in control panel
Post by: davorin on March 23, 2016, 11:21:01 AM
Evnin'

Just received a 2408 mk2 with a PCI-324 card....installed drivers under MacOS 9.2.2...

I can play sound when I choose the PCI-324 as sound output in the sound control panel...

Launching for example Bias Deck it tells me that it can't use the Motu interface and pops up the Motu control panel...with no selectable card available...

Something missing during driver installation?

Installed the 1.2.4 Motu sound system....

Bias Inc.'s Deck V2.7
System Requirements: PowerPC, G3, G4 Processor, built-in 16-bit Macintosh sound, or supported ASIO-compatible audio card/audio interface and most recent ASIO 1.0 driver software from ASIO hardware manufacturer

Not sure what version of Beak you are using ?!, be sure with ALL DAWs that are ASIO compatible to manually copy the MOTU ASIO Driver into the correct folder and then select the ASIO driver in the DAW audio setup; lastly, make check whether the Application is compatible with ASIO 1 or ASIO 2 driver specifications.

Stupid me (o;

There were two drivers in the ASIO folder....and it always picked the first one..he firewire one...2408 mkii with PIC-324 is no firewire..though sharing same layer-1...

Removed the firewire driver from ASIO folder and it works now (o;

I think I remember not being able to get a 324 card to work on OS9 due to the lack of drivers for it. Or maybe it's that my driver of choice wouldn't work with OS9? Hmm...
