Title: SPDIF recording Motu 2408/828/Digi 001
Post by: davorin on April 16, 2016, 09:41:39 AM
Have here three devices with SPDIF inputs....

- Motu 2408 MK2
- Motu 828
- Digi 001

Feeding a web radio station via coaxial SPDIF...

Motu 828: Noise in the recording, sound like a FM station with bad reception.

Motu 2408 MK2: No input at all...enabled SPDIF on bank C and enabled routing...

Digi 001: No input at all....

Is there some trick to get SPDIF recording going on the 2408 and Digi 001?

Are you aware that the clock should be set to SPDIF slave on the recording device?

No change in quality for 828...regardless if clock comes from SPDIF or internally...

And the setup dialog in PT LE shows only SPDIF (Opt)....wonder why SPDIF RCA can't be choosen...
