Title: Digital Performer and VST
Post by: bkellytech on October 15, 2021, 07:01:51 PM
Does anyone know how to get a VST instrument usable in Performer? I've installed Audio Ease, and I can see the VST (Ivory in this case).
However, I get lost in the next part.

I can add an AUX track -- but where do I assign the VST (IVory) to it, and a midi track to that?

The motu board said 'first insert', but have no idea what that means....

Thanks!!

ok so your asking where the inserts are in the Digital Performer Mixer?

you do know of course that an insert refers to a signal path insert, ie to insert an effect onto an incoming signal to be recorded
it's referring to channel inserts.. theres usually one per channel on a mixing board.... usually near the top of the channel strip physically

if you open up the mixing board window, at the top of each chanel strip there are these pull down boxes - those are the inserts right there
