Post by: smilesdavis on September 14, 2022, 10:25:47 AM
or what socket dimensions does it have

im eyeing at the https://noctua.at/en/nh-p1 and transplanting the mac mini into a mini itx case, then overclocking it to 2 ghz

Mini g4 had a soldered processor, not socketed, so not easy to come by information. And anything would certainly have to be adapted to fit. It's certainly nowhere near the footprint of LGA11XX sockets.

my plan is to put a mbox 1 and a mac mini next to each other in a mini itx 1U rack. and bring their respective controlls to the front and rear. like the marathon irack but with 2 channels of focusrite octapre level (which the mbox one is) audio built in.
