Title: Quake black bar 1280x960 on G4 MDD LCD
Post by: ScottC2022 on December 02, 2022, 01:10:58 PM
Hi,
I now have the correct lcd (Apple Studio) I previously used my studio crt
In OS 9 it is showing the desktop as 1280x1024 but when i go into quake it only lets me use 1280x960 leaing a black bar at the bottom
Is there anyway to remedy this or is it like the 320x200 issue with dos games on those machines?
Thank you!

Intresting problem, but your monitor is actually good, because it shows real pixels...it would be look bad if it streaching that 960 resolution to 1024 with LCD.
I some games only support aspect ratios between 4:3 - 16:9  (and some games only 4:3) and 1280x1024 is 5:4...also some games drop resolution to 640x480 and if your monitor is good it scretching it to 1280x960 not 1280x1024.
