Hi, Tech Experts..My question is anything like that out there? adaptors? converters?..Or is this an old question and its buried somewhere in here? My Macs are not connected to the internet.
-
A favorite device around here is the fw400 CF card reader...

there might be docking stations or controllers, howerver, dont use any of the "usb2 firewire adapters" you might find, they dont work with storage media and might damage your computer. they mostly only work with pinnacle video products.

my best solution to this is gigabit ethernet used in combination with AFP protocol and a centralized file server (running leopard or tiger? or AFP fileserver of some sort)
theres no usb to fw400 that is worth getting as far as i know
but can get a drive enclosure frm owc/macsales.com that supports firewire aswell as usb

OCZ used to have FireWire sticks.

Nice... Have never seen those!! ;D

A USB 2 stick with a FW400 connector at the other side would have been practical too.

I got this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Safecom-3-5-IDE-HDD-USB-2-0-Firewire-Enclosure-NOT-SATA-MAC-Compatible/263938785120?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 much easier for me anyway, to transfer my cubase data on to my ibooks which i have just installed new hds......much quicker.....
