Hello All. I'm relatively new to working with MIDI under OS9. I'm having issues with the detection of my MIDI interface (UM-2EX). Current setup:
Mac Mini G4 (1.25 GHz)
OS 9.2.2
First, I installed the official OS9 drivers from Roland and rebooted. The interface is present under the System Profiler:

However upon every reboot, OS9 keeps asking if I want to search the web for drivers for this device. To which I click no as I have drivers installed (supposedly). Under OMS, the interface is missing:

It was also initially missing under Free MIDI, but I imported the config that came with the driver package and now it shows up but is greyed out:

Any ideas on what to do here?

there should be an OMS driver for the device inside the OMS folder - they usually have an extra installer for those.

You also need the OMS USB driver in the OMS folder and active just to "see" the USB port.

Thanks for the tips. I haven't had any success yet, but will poke at it some more later.
