Title: Ensoniq Paris
Post by: Pushpull76 on October 11, 2022, 03:01:57 PM
I have a complete Paris system made by Ensoniq. Recently, a very good guy programmed some new plugins and the drivers to use it with recent operating systems. However, I have a G4 and i'm more interested to build a mac system....but i'm without any type of software. Does someone here knows where to find the installer cd for macos?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply; unfortunately, they work only on the Windows side of the platform.

i dont think i have the full version installer for mac... since it was some kind of pace protection AND only works with their card, which included the software. is yours the I or II hardware?

For what I know, the Pace protection system was only used from the version 3. Older version maybe only with a serial installer, not sure.

let´see, i have the demo version installed here since 25 years.

since normally everyone has its own serialnumber with the card, there is no need for a crack or serial for others, which is why we dont know if you can share the serial with other users or not.

i think that i what you should try; ask somebody else for his serial.

personally i will never understand the meaning of copy protection for hardware based systems, it just does not make any sense.

there we go. while those once were scene releases, they are for sure identical with the originals, i.e. with copy protection.

to my knowledge the number of third party plug-in for OS9 counts exactly zero.

though it might be that vellocet attempted to support it.

be aware that 3.x only runs for 7 days.

so if nobody can generate you a valid response code anymore, you only have 7 days to play with it.

since i dont need to run it & if that will help you, i can install it here and then check if one of the two pace c/r demo reset methods will work for it. i.e. before you install it over there.

given that it is from 1999, there is a chance.

but eventually ask the rightholders first - whoever that is (intelligent devices?) - for this kind of thing they might have kept the app to generate codes like some other companies do, too, until today.

Not sure at 100%, probably Intelligent Devices stopped the support for Paris. For some time a version 3.01 without Pace protection came out, not cracked; later, it was removed after an I.D. request. The demo reset is a very good idea!

Ps: I also noticed the asio driver with the installer, which is not bad at all.

Is it good to put these files in the DAW section? Copyright is ok, no serials are attached. @DieHard

this whole project was amazing.
Apparently one guy, no longer involved, bought Ensoniq's Paris assembler from Creative for $1 and ported the DP4 and DP/pro algorithms over.

i believe the number of users who have the required hardware but lost their authorisation is below 3.

Dp4 is great. The distortions, amps, phaser and chorus are very analog like.
The reverb, the hall, is the closest i have got to my Lexicon 224 and it was reverse engineered by Jon Dattaro at Ensoniq (he was at lexicon prior) and got the seal of approval from the Lexicon 224 designer - David Griesinger.

https://ccrma.stanford.edu/~dattorro/Griesinger.pdf

By the way the reverb gods are passing out. Last year it was Christopher Moorer - Ursa Major, AKG 68k, Kurzweil etc
Prior to that in 2016 Wolfgang Buchleitner of Quantec.

I think David Griesinger is still around and can be emailed and Dr Barry Blesser of EMT 250
