Title: Mac OS9 - Moving Executables Between Machines
Post by: pdr0663 on January 11, 2021, 07:01:04 PM
I have a friend who is using some special software on OS9. His hardware is getting harder to maintain, and I’ve sourced an iMac and installed SheepShaver successfully.

I’m trying to move two executables from the old machine to the emulation. I’ve copied them to a DOS formatted (from OS9) USB thumb drive. I’ve mounted the drive on the new machine, and copied to the shared “Unix” folder. Unfortunately, it seems to be missing metadata and won’t run.

Can anyone help with this task?

Thanks!

Paul

You need to use Stuffit Drop Stuff before you copy it to a Dos volume, or the Resource Fork will be lost.
