Sorry I missed out on it Diehard.

Just another question tho...

I read in some Macintosh system requirements for the Delta 44 that G3/G4 accelerator cards not supported,
I have a OWC Mercury Extreme G4 in my Quicksilver - could this be the issue that is preventing me from getting sound out of the breakout box?

Delta 44

Minimum system requirements (MAC) :are G3/G4 (accel. cards not supported) 500MHz, OS 9.2.2, 128MB RAM; OS X 10.1.5, 10.2.6 or greater, 256MB RAM, OMS 2.3.8 for MIDI under OS 9.2.2
Sorry... my schedule has been crazy and I am traveling... So I haven't had too much time to try things.

I followed DieHards advice and Cubase is now running!

I am not an expert with Cubase... but is there anything you'd like me to test to see how well this interface performs with the Mini from a DAW perspective?

I've got VST's playing via Midi and it seems to work just fine so far.

just bought the above belkin kvm switch in "unused" condition.

iīve read a few negative reports about it, but until now it does what it should.

have not yet tested cables longer than 3 meters. because of my usual "cable length issues" (monitors in the center, computers all around in the room) it is not ideal to use a switch with built-in connections, i would prefer to use very short cables with it when used with 2 minis.

donīt forget (i almost did) that if you use WUXGA or greater, you can only use the G4 minis with it; the VGA output of the core2duo models canīt handle such a monitor properly, it is required to connect them via DVI-D.
I hope you bought it, it sold for $.01 (One penny plus shipping)

You need to copy this TDM file to the DAE folder and after that Pro Tools will see SC Plus 2. You also need to configure OMS for SampleCell to work. Good luck.

Thank you. I understood where I was wrong..there are two software versions, one is for hardware and the other is the software-only version (and it must be authorized, too bad..does anyone have the authorized disk image??). the hardware version works.. i haven't managed to route the audio outputs directly in protools yet.. the manual says it's possible but it refers me to another guide where, however, it doesn't mention how to do it. has anyone succeeded? did he see the audio outputs directly in protools? ( very handy to add efx ..
Yes, but how about do opposite and route systems sounds to ASIO device with Spig (I remembered name at last).

to do that, all you need is an ASIO app of your choice.

unless the involved programs offer something better, like direct connect, a dedicated VST plug-in or rewire.

giving the finder (or actually the system?) itself native ASIO support will be more than a hack from my understanding.

I must have used a different installer than you? I've had the editor working and also the TDM features, and I don't have any disks.

I might actually have used the installers from Digidesign's site:

I have had both Nubus and PCI SampleCells running without authorization disks of any sort. The installers have come from either here or the Macintosh Garden. I don't have direct links on hand, but the software is out there.
