This is the Backup Exec agent for Max OS9. This control panel item will allow your Mac hard drives to be backed up to a Backup Exec tape backup server.

Thanks for the utility. I still keep all my server based versions of Backup Exec for NT and Netware... I guess I should throw all that stuff out since I am NOT a fan of tape these days
-
No you should make it available, finally

It was a very popular backup package back in the day for Netware and Windows NT Servers. Extremely Reliable (but NOT inexpensive), Worked with 4MM, 8MM, DTL and many other storage technologies. Would backup Servers (and workstations with client software); Could be administered at the server or Via a client. My old company was a VAR and we usually sold it to networks that had 20 to 200 Users.
It basically paid for itself and then some if a server crashed. it could also do one touch disaster recovery (if you had the right backup hardware), It was one of the only package that reliable could backup the Novell Bindery (on versions 3.X) or Directory tree on 4.X and 5.X or Windows Active Directory.

Backup Exec is a Windows backup software that can backup other Windows, Unix, and MacOSX/MacOS9 clients. The main software is installed on a Windows computer(...can be installed on Windows 7) with a tape drive. The clients need to have an agent installed for the main server to backup the hard drives on the client computers. Backup Exec is still available and widely used.

Hmmmm... Guess I should of said "Popular back in the Day... and still widely used"
