Looking for the Sonnet Crescendo 7200 G3 400/500MHz or G4 400/500MHz PCI CPU Upgrade Card.

Hi zErec.
You should think twice before you put a CPU on a PCI slot. THe PC bandwidth will be very tight to a CPU, and furthermore wouldn't be enough for the remaining set of devices of the motherboard.
If you for some reason wish this "form factor" you should go for a 7300,7500 or a 7600. Some of them could go up to 200 Mhz and possibly reach the same power than a PCI upgraded CPU.
If you wish and old world mac you should go for the 8500/8600 or 9500/9600.

All these systems can be upgraded with a more effective G3/G4 daughtercard.

My final advice is that you don't loose your time and money and go for a Sawtooth, or a MDD beter yet :)

But on the other hand, if you love your computer, and have some "personal connection" to it, it deserves every possible update! I am for example still thinking if I should get some SCSI-SATA adapters for more modern SSD and such stuff, for my 6100/G3 240 (my first mac ever). But perhaps first some G4 500 plus 264 MB Ram instead of 136 would be nice, ... ;)

I really want to max out my PowerMac 7200.
I know and I have Macs that are far more
powerful than the 7200. It's for my collection.



So guys if you have an old

Sonnet 7200 PCI G3 or G4 please let me know.
