Title: Adding Cyrillic / Russian language support to OS9?
Post by: Bolkonskij on March 15, 2022, 08:00:36 AM
Hey all,

I'm using a Mac Mini G4 with the OS9lives version of OS9. Everything is pretty awesome. Now I need to add Russian language support (keyboard layout / display of cyrillic letters).

I noticed that within the System Folder:Text Encodings there is a file "Cyrillic Encodings". However, Cyrillic is not correctly displayed.

Any advice on how to add that to a working 9.2.2 install?

in western europe we currently have a high demand for cyrillic keyboards :( but not sure how the the layout file could be wrong.

Did you install the language kit?
