Title: Opening Continous Tone (CT/SCT) Files on Mac OS
Post by: Ferkner on March 25, 2021, 06:52:31 AM
In my continuing adventures of restoring a magazine from it's original digital files (http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php/topic,5833.0.html), I am wondering what program for Mac OS 9 can open CT and SCT files, since the layout files came with a bunch of artwork in those formats.

I can open them in Windows using Corel Paintshop Pro by adding the .ct extension and in Photoshop if I change them all to .sct, but I would like to be able to open them on the iMac G3 as well.

At the risk of sounding like Captain Obvious, Photoshop (up to version 7) and Corel Graphics exist for classic MacOS...

I could not find easily the list of supported format for GraphicConverter 5.9.5 so I will have to check on my Powerbook. And if neither Photoshop nor GraphicConverter can open it, at least you would have tried the big guns :)
