Title: Restoring the Quicksilver power supply
Post by: V.Yakob on February 06, 2023, 12:55:24 PM
Does anyone have experience restoring power supplies from Quicksilver?
The one I have has a problem and doesn't work.

Power supply P/N: 614-0146
Symptom:
1. clicks something in the middle of the board
2. the cooler rotates and stops
3. the output power supply is unstable and jumps, for example, where it should be 12v, shows: 7v, 3v, 5v, 9v. Even on-duty power supply (purple wire) is not stable.
I suspect that protection is triggered in the power supply.
There was a suspicion that the reason for this behavior could be in high-voltage capacitors (450V, 100 μF), they were really inoperable, the tester showed 90 μF and ESR=1.4 Ω on one and 90 μF and ESR=13 Ω on the other.
The replacement of capacitors has not brought major changes.
Outwardly, the details don't look spoiled.
Maybe someone has a scheme of this power supply? Unfortunately, I have no place to get another power supply.

I will be glad to receive any advice.
