So who would not want 4 USB and 2 Firewire ports on one card?
This one from boneyard here (and that’s a black NEC chip). Never able to install & function.
(Won’t even allow OS X boot with Quicksilver.) User guide mentions OS 9 and X compatible...
(except for the B&W). Might try it in an early G4?

*Requires an Adaptec “DuoConnect DisableSleep Driver” extension.
Don’t have the original DuoConnect CD to Start Installation.
Anyone using one of these… fully functional?

https://storage.microsemi.com/en-us/support/_eol/combo/aua-3020/
has some infos and documentation about this card, but it's available only the Windows Installation CD.
Maybe the “DuoConnect DisableSleep Driver” extension for MacOS 9 can be found on it.

Thanks GuiBer! Appreciate the input.
Seems that nobody has one of these AUA-3020 adapters in use.
(Just one of those things that I trot out and re-test occasionally.)
There are several in Portland Oregon for $14.89 (with the install disc).
I’m too cheap to spend the money for something I don’t really have to have.

AND that DuoConnect DisableSleep Driver is to prevent probs w/OS 9.
Otherwise, it’s supposedly… Mac plug-n-play? ;)

4+2 is really great. i once had a "mac" card working in 7300 & quicksilver, later i needed the slot for better things. it worked without drivers, but it was only 2+2.

I was fighting with one of these in my AiO, when I found the "USB Card Support 1.4.6" driver. Its readme states that the 9.2.2 drivers might not work with add-in cards. I added the files from the driver to the Extensions folder, restarted, and the card is working now! It's worth a shot if you haven't tried them.

Thanks!
Just the "USB Card Support 1.4.6" and none of the Firewire schtuff?
Will try this soon. ;)
