Title: Where does "Q-Metric Engine" belong?
Post by: Dave 23 on September 29, 2018, 02:58:01 PM

After expanding the Steinberg Q-metric download I was left with a folder on the desktop that contained a subfolder with 3 items- a mono +stereo .fxb, and the Q-metric Engine. I assumed the q Engine would go in the extensions folder, but on Logic start I keep getting the error "Q-Metric Engine not found" .
I've tried putting it in all kinds of places with the same result. Any ideas?   TIA

no it belongs into a certain folder beside the plug-in in your VST plug-ins folder(s):

VstPlugIns/Q-Metric
VstPlugIns/Spectral Design Plugs.eff/

or likewise, if renaming or subfolders are allowed in your host:

VstPlugIns/My Favorite Filters/Q-Metric
VstPlugIns/My Favorite Filters/Spectral Design Plugs.eff/

My Audio Filters/Q-Metric
My Audio Filters/Spectral Design Plugs.eff/

there are like 10 or so other SD plug-ins which also require files from that magic place.
