Title: MacUnRAR or any rar unarchiver
Post by: sleestack808 on December 11, 2017, 12:36:03 PM
apparently MacUnRAR works, maybe but
"concerning Mac implementation, MacUnRAR is provided as a Fat application. It as not been fully tested (not to say it has hardly been tested due to lack of time)."

WTF does that mean?

can't run it.

seems like only option. i want to unarchive in os 9 to rule out newer os'es tampering with the files im trying to retrieve, thanks!!!

it is a different type of rar compression anyway so dont bother. for "newer" files you need 10.2.6 and the free unix rar utils.

safer to not use RAR in the first place
or extract on an osx box and then re-package it yourself to .sit.bin using the techniques outlined here on the site
