Title: Installing app error in Classic mode
Post by: NilesK on March 02, 2021, 12:24:12 PM
I picked up a G3 iBook specifically for running  old applications  in classic mode.  OS X 10.4.11,   I managed to get Classic working, I run the installation disc, the installer opens  (so the computer sees the disc), but then when I click 'install', it says "Unable to locate installer CD."  It does this with every installer CD I've tried. There's not even an option  in the dialog box for the user to locate the CD.   I've spent hours on this today.  Any thoughts?   Thanks!

This might happen if the installer is expecting a CD named xyz, but it is named something else for some reason. e.g. non-original CD or OS X presents the name differently?

Info on what you are trying to install and why you want to use Classic, may yield workaround ideas.
