Logic XSKey Manager
« on: February 21, 2014, 07:06:15 PM »
I took a screenshot of my White Apple XSKey so you all can see what is Authorized
It shipped with all products and this is what you will get.
You even get to use the Windows version of Logic with the Apple XSKey

I've attached the XSKey Manager 1.6 that is installed with Epic TDM for OS9
This will allow you to see what's authorized on any XSKey, Blue or White

great enabler! but u should have used .zip format .. i dont think .sitx can be extracted on os9 ..
.sitx files can only be extracted on osx!!

a mac os 9 compatible solution would have been to simply use .ZIP format if compressing files from a snowleopard machine as stuffit expander 5.5 can even extract .zip -- perhaps mac os 9 .img format inside a zip made on snow leopard would work well?

Those dongles are now going up in price compared to usual. I suspect it's because of this website  -afro-

Now that's better.....................I re-uploaded a .sit file

Download any version of Stuffit and serialize using iSerial Reader
http://www.stuffit.com/support/updates.html

And like always archive every installer for a rainy day

.sitx files can be created and extracted on Mac Os 9 without any problem.
Ok, I also prefer .sit format.

The .zip format may give you some disgusting result in Mac Os 9.

Is there such a thing as an XS Key manager for windows? I've got this blue XS Key laying around that I acquired on top of everything else but I can't get OS9 to recognize it. I can get my Windows machine to recognize it but I can't view the licenses on it.

Not sure what happened but it started working suddenly.

This blue xs key was given to me. I looked at the authorizations and it says authorized for Mac OS, but literally everything else has a 'demo expired' thing. I don't know if this is actually authorized or not so I wanted to install Logic 5 or 6.4.

I tried installing Logic 6.4.1 from the .img file I acquired but it won't mount in Toast or Disk Copy. There's also a .sea file in the member's area but the link is broken. Logic 5 gives me 'wrong system date' and won't load, and the 5.5 update copy freezes upon launching.

Syntho you need to properly install Logic. It's a bad idea to load all those versions. Why? because the drivers for every release change. The stuff in the system folder like XSKey drivers ect... could cause older versions to hang or vice version a newer version of Logic could go whacky with old drivers. As far as your Blue XSKey goes...If it says Demo you don't have those instruments and never will.

Note:
People stay away from buying the Blue XSKey only the White Apple key has every option authorized
Buying a Blue key is a crap shoot.... you never know what you will get.

I'm running some tests on another system so no worries about driver conflicts. I don't have a white XS Key yet but I'm working on it.

In the meantime though I couldn't get that Logic 6.4 img file to mount in Toast.

If you are talking about your uploads being missing, its probably because i have moved them. so please direct inquiries of this nature to me privately!

By the way enabler, where did this XS Key manager come from? Is it included in the LP7 or LP6 installs?

When you install the OSX version of Logic a Preference Pane gets installed instead of the App.
Go to your System Preferences it's on the last Row at the bottom (See my Screenshot)

The XSKey Manger get's installed with HTDM Enabler & EPIC TDM Plugins

PS. I think this version I posted might also work in OSX as well. give it a try

Nope… Been kinda spoiled with Logic Pro 9 and Logic Pro X (no more dongle needed)… The only DAW stuff left on the G4s that I currently use is Cubase VST 5/32 and all the  VSTis… Also UAD and PowerCore for some Mastering
