If anyone else has this card..
i have been given it from a friend and it should work..
but no matter what machine i put it into. the machine starts to either not boot properly
or have strange wierd errors...

if u have experience with this specific pci graphics card please speak up!

as u can see its got decent specs and would be good for driving 2ndary monitor (if i could get it to work!)
also i couldnt get the flashing app to see the card..  i hope i didnt try to use NV FLASH on a ati chip heheehe xD
then i would feel really stupid;)

is this card able to be flashed to Mac?

has anyone else got a 9250 type (RV280 GPU) to work with 2D accell working?
on 9.22? on 8.6??

upon closer inspection:
i think this card is lacking a reprogrammable flash chip
which is the reason why it doesnt seem to be able to be flashed.

It would be odd for a card not to have a writable eeprom, likely just a chip whatever flasher you are using doesn't support.

We should be able to get the card to work with OS 9, if you get it flashed, by hacking the drivers as I've done for the Mini/iBook G4/eMac.

The questions would be, does it have a 128k eeprom, or a 64k. The 64k would require the 'NDRV' to be removed from the Option ROM, not really an issue unless you want to use the card in an Old World Mac.

this card freezes most machines i try to put it into.. i think its possibly related to teh fact that its notched for only 5v pci slots?
and i may be trying it in 3.3v slots? and its under voltaged?

Not sure a 5V PCI card will fit in a 3.3V slot.

Does the card work in a PC?

Did you do the necessary resister mods?

i should probably just throw this card out but im still perplexed as to why it causes some of my machines to not turn on entirely but works in older machines
i thought this was due to pci revision spec ie:2.1 vs 2.2 vs 2.3 etc but perhaps theres another reason
i just found some new information on the card that it was called a "gameFX board 9250"
i saved the manual because it took forever to download from the taiwanese site

is there any reason you can see from the specs that this shouldnt work in a mac?
i believe this card was released sometime in 2004 based on observing the website archives of the powercolor site and that the
9250 section didnt appear untill that time; the manual is dated december 13 2004
