Well, it enables us to use SD at all since it's a crack! But the update itself I don't know, probably bug fixes and so on.

Well the way things usually work with a crack is that you need the real file to patch or install whatever support files are needed.

They've got multiple GB of stuff on there though. Should I get the folder called "Backup OS 9"?

I didn't get an account yet. Upon further investigation, there's an account for $14 for two days. That seems reasonable seeing as I've been looking for an original SoundDiver copy for MULTIPLE years.

I don't know if the crack even works... but it may be worth a shot, so I thought I'd grab some other stuff while I'm at it to make up for it if it doesn't.

I'm connecting using a Windows client called Hotline Connect 1.8.5. There are OS9 and OSX clients too. Download any working client and type in 'mac backup' in the search, and connect to the server. Then click the Files/Directory icon and browse the available files.

In any hotline client you can just type 'mac backup' in the server search, but the address to connect to it directly to get the info is 199.126.231.14:1111 - that's the free/info server. Click the directory/files icon on hotline, browse to a folder called "MMB 4TB Database" and there's a bunch of subfolders in there.

Is this a crack? Or the full installation? Or update with a crack? And where did you find it?

A OS9 Miracle just happened!!!!!!!!!!! MacTron is God like......... -afro-

Read This Carefully... This is why it's important to save every update like I have

Tested & confirmed working! :-X

So here is what to do to make sure you have all the support files:
1) Install version SoundDiver 3.0.0 CD.img from my archive
2) Run the SoundDiver 3.0.4 Update from my archive

Take a deep breath, bliss is just moments away:
At this point you should have a folder on the top level of your Hard Drive named SoundDiver 3.0 ƒ
with version 3.0.0 & 3.0.4 inside it with all Docs and support files

3) Copy over SoundDiver 3.01 & SoundDiver 3.0.1 Authorizer from MacTron's post
into your SoundDiver 3.0 ƒ on the Hard Drive.

4) Launch MacTron' SoundDiver 3.0.1 Authorizer and when it asks, locate MacTron's SoundDiver 3.01 file
that you previously copied over to your SoundDiver 3.0 ƒ. The Authorizer will patch MacTron's original file
creating a new version call "SoundDiver 3.0 Authorizer" that can authorize your Hard Drive.

5) Launch your Newly created app "SoundDiver 3.0 Authorizer" and when it first boots it will ask you to Authorize your Hard Drive Hit the authorized button and SoundDiver will launch.

6) Now that your Hard Drive is authorized you can run the later version SoundDiver 3.0.4

7) We even have version 3.0.5 Beta that you can run but you will have to manually update your SoundDiver 3.0 ƒ
by dragging over the updated files. Keep version 3.0.4 in case 3.0.5 is whacky

Note 1:
In step 4) you might have noticed that your newly created patched version is named "SoundDiver 3.0 Authorizer" not 3.01
This is why MacTron's original post did not work. This patch needs an original 3.01 version to work but the name is labeled 3.0
And of course unlucky us that particular version happens to be missing from my archive. But MacTron saved the day... Thank you

Note 2:
There is one more missing file from the archive and that is SoundDiver 3.0.5.1
it had updated adaption files for some instruments. Out on the internet it was called sd3051.sit

Wow!
SoundDiver for OS9 was lost & buried but together MacOS9Lives resurrected it.
Nice Job Gentlemen

Ooh and one more thing:
Before Emagic moved to the XSKey they used these copy-protected CD's that were a pain in the Ass!
This also was the same for EXS-24, EVP-88 ect.......
Every blue moon the Application would ask for you to insert the CD just to make sure that you are the owner.
So you may have to repeat this whole authorizing process once in a while.

You're both geniuses - MacTron and Enabler, I was trying and trying to work out the same thing and nothing worked - thanks very much for both of you solving an old problem - hats off to both of you.

Hi All,
I'm new to this trail, but found it very interesting to read. Would like to try myself to get SD working on my old G4 machine as i have read a lot of enthousiastic comments about the program.
I tried to follow the steps as posted by Enabler but was stuck in step 3 "Copy over SoundDiver 3.01 & SoundDiver 3.0.1 Authorizer from MacTron's post into your SoundDiver 3.0 ƒ on the Hard Drive". Both SD 3.0.1 seem no longer available for download. Can someone please help me by pointing me to a place where I can download these files!

Thanks!

Ruud

Thanks for your help MacTron,

Your link referred to a "SoundDiver 3.0 Patch". Enabler was describing "SoundDiver 3.01 & SoundDiver 3.0.1 Authorizer" in step 4. Am I missing something? I would not know where to look for these 2 files.
Hope you can help me out.
Thanks anyway!

Ruud
