Hi all,
Will DVD Studio pro, or anything else, author the DVD-A format? Basically WAV 24/96...
Ive been wanting to burn some albums in this format as you can play back on certain DVD players and Bluray players. Nice audio quality...
Protools5LEGuy:
Try with those WAV.
If it doesn´t work try with AIFF or QT 5-6 file.
To make a QT file drag an drop over a new QT window.
Software to try: iDVD http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php/topic,2524.0.html
and DVD Studio Pro. http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php/topic,2523.0.html
Please report back.

Remember most DVD-players don't support DVD-A format, so if you want make more compatible use 24bit/48hkz in DVD-Video format.
I think it is possible make DVD with both formats, but I newer tested, because I don't have DVD-player that support DVD-A.
BUT your question is good, because by default DVD Studio Pro converts audio (but there is some settings, not tested myself), but I also want know is there way to make DVD-A with 24bit/96khz that works with Bluray players.

Hi, its also not all Blu-ray players that support DVD-A . Its quite an elusive medium as far as play back goes. :) It was launched in 1999 by the way.
Here is a list:

You also have to be wary that some players dont like burned discs...
The player I want is a Tascam DV-D01U which is a rackmount player that will play DVD-A burned discs
I must see if my DVD writer is working ok and try this weekend.
