I followed http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php/topic,5659.msg44945.html#msg44945 and the original .pict is here now as a proper jpg export for better handling.

Thanks FBz!

Sorry for the screenshot!

pict does no longer show in quicktime on windows 64, last year i ran into this trap in a software project.

back in the days we did not know what "png" in photoshop 5 could be good for. nowadays it is the way to go.

Bad news!
I have the image as a burned CD only and so far i haven´t been able to make an image from it as it seems to be corrupted already because of age.

I have tried 3 different computers and 3 external firewire CD/DVD devices and i always get a I/O read error...

Will continue to try to image it.
Does anyone have an idea how to do it properly?

All I need is the original banks for the app as I have the application

try installing the software from the disc directly and then sharing all the banks

This is the application. All I honestly need are every single .uds bank.

It seems it is a multisession disc I recorded many moons ago, yes.
It appears as the last session is missing though as I noted down on the CD sheet that there are actually more things on the disc as there are showing now.
Can I recover sessions?

that it is a session would only have a negative effect for certain protection schemes, otherwise it is no problem. it should mount and it should work and ti should do so even if other sessions on the media are corrupted. i guess it has seen too much sun or is scratched.

i know people who only (or in addition) burned the image files as files in 2000 to avoid making mistakes.

reminds me that i also have to copy all 20 year old media to HDs again, it is about time.

I probably downloaded ISO’s/img of the Unity DS-1 around my Hotline times early 2000’s and created multisession CD’s to save space.
When I start the installer from the CD I get a prompt asking for a password.
I tried to search for written notes or in my archives but found nothing.
Then I remembered good old SerialSurfer and found a password!

I successfully extracted the soundbank finally!!!
I will upload as soon as possible.

I finally managed to upload it to the macintoshgarden.
Grab it here: https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/bitheadz-unity-ds-1-folder-original-ver1-sample-folder

It kept crashing my poor little iMac G3 when i wanted to prep it for uploading, stuffing and binary enconding it.
It was done with StuffIt 7.0.3 under MacOS 9.2.2 with my MDD instead.

Hope it will suit you all well!

Oh my, you seem to have samplecell content as well! Judging by the photo.

I think when you have a chance you should upload that to the garden also due to how difficult some of it can be to find
